Kelly Thompson, a nonprofit founder who was the nominee for Indiana's 22nd House district in 2020, is the Democratic nominee in the 2026 election for Indiana's 3rd congressional district. The district covers Northeast Indiana and is anchored by the Fort Wayne metropolitan area.
Thompson was unopposed in the Democratic primary and received 21,146 votes. The seat is held by Republican Marlin Stutzman, who was elected with 65.0% of the vote in 2024 and won the 2026 Republican primary with 68.2% against Jon Kenworthy.
Thompson and Stutzman meet in the general election on November 3, 2026.
