Maria Rodriguez, a cleaning contractor, is the Republican nominee in the 2026 election for Kentucky's 3rd congressional district, which encompasses nearly all of Louisville Metro. The incumbent is Democrat Morgan McGarvey, who was re-elected in 2024 with 61.9% of the vote.
Rodriguez won a four-way Republican primary with 48.2% of the vote, ahead of David Nichter with 20.7%, carpet cleaner Daniel Cobble with 17.9% and entrepreneur and author Donald Pay with 13.1%. She faces McGarvey in the general election on November 3, 2026.
