Nirav Sheth, a restaurant owner who was a candidate for Washington's 10th congressional district in 2024, is the Republican candidate for the 7th district in 2026.
The 7th district is based in northern and western Seattle and is held by Democrat Pramila Jayapal, who was re-elected with 83.9% of the vote in 2024.
In Washington's top-two primary, Sheth finished second with 21,282 votes, or 9.8%, behind Jayapal's 84.4% and ahead of Democratic community organizer Gwen Kirkland. He faces Jayapal in the general election on November 3, 2026.
