Ethan Baker, who has served as mayor of Troy since 2019, is the Republican nominee for Michigan's 11th congressional district, an Oakland County seat that includes Royal Oak and Pontiac. The seat is open because Democratic incumbent Haley Stevens is running for the U.S. Senate.
Baker was unopposed in the Republican primary, receiving 50,179 votes, after political operative Mike Steger withdrew to run for the state house and businessman Antonio Prieto was disqualified.
In the general election on November 3, 2026, he faces Democrat Jeremy Moss, president pro tempore of the Michigan Senate, along with Libertarian Farid Ishac, Green Party candidate Ryan Teasdale and independent Anil Kumar, a member of the Wayne State University Board of Governors.
