Victor Mellor, a businessman and registered foreign agent for Cuba, is the Republican nominee in the 2026 election for Rhode Island's 2nd congressional district, which encompasses the western portion of the state, including Cranston, Warwick and portions of Providence.
The seat is held by Democrat Seth Magaziner, who has served since 2023 and was re-elected with 58.2% of the vote in 2024. In the Republican primary, Mellor defeated physician Stephen Skoly, winning 58.1% of the vote to Skoly's 41.9%.
Mellor faces Magaziner, who was unopposed for the Democratic nomination, in the general election on November 3, 2026.
