2026 race

Erik Osberg, the owner of a media marketing firm, is the Democratic-Farmer-Labor nominee in the 2026 election for Minnesota's 7th congressional district, which covers all but the southern end of rural western Minnesota.

The seat is held by Republican Michelle Fischbach, who was re-elected with 70.5% of the vote in 2024.

Osberg won the Democratic-Farmer-Labor primary with 65.7% of the vote against Steve Carlson, an Air Force veteran and government worker, after state representative Heather Keeler withdrew from the race.

In the general election on November 3, 2026, he faces Fischbach, who was the only candidate in the Republican primary.
