Suzie Byrd, a newspaper reporter for the Enid News & Eagle, is the Democratic nominee for Oklahoma's 3rd congressional district, which is based in western Oklahoma and includes Enid, Stillwater and the Oklahoma Panhandle.
The seat is held by Republican incumbent Frank Lucas, who was re-elected unopposed in 2024. In the Democratic primary, Byrd won 67.4% of the vote against warehouse worker Jules Roberson.
In the general election on November 3, 2026, she faces Lucas, who won his own primary with 70.8% of the vote against author and retired pastor Wade Burleson.
