2026 race

Joe Strada, a businessman, is the Republican nominee for Florida's 11th congressional district in 2026. The seat is open because the Republican incumbent, Daniel Webster, who was re-elected with 60.4% of the vote in 2024, withdrew from the race.

Strada won the five-candidate Republican primary with 33.5% of the vote, ahead of former state senator and Lake County property appraiser Carey Baker at 33.0% and comedian Tim Wilkins at 25.4%. Because the final margin was under 0.5%, a machine recount was announced.

In the general election on November 3, 2026, Strada faces Democrat James Pericola, an attorney.
