Victor Arias is the Democratic nominee for Florida's 19th congressional district in the 2026 election. The seat is open because Republican incumbent Byron Donalds, who won re-election with 66.3% of the vote in 2024, is retiring to run for governor.
In the Democratic primary, Arias won with 45.5% of the vote, ahead of Howard Sapp, a retired air traffic controller, with 41.1%, and Robert Neeld with 13.4%.
Arias faces Republican Jim Schwartzel, president of Sun Broadcasting and owner of WFSX-FM, in the general election on November 3, 2026, with business manager Seth Haskins also declared as an independent candidate.
