2026 race

Anthony Constantino, a businessman who was a candidate in the canceled 2025 special election for New York's 21st congressional district, is the Republican nominee for the seat in 2026.

The North Country district is open because Republican incumbent Elise Stefanik, re-elected with 62.1% of the vote in 2024, declined to seek re-election. Constantino won the Republican primary with 59.2% of the vote against Robert Smullen, a state assemblymember from the 118th district.

He also appears on the Taxpayer Rights line and faces Democrat Blake Gendebien, a dairy farmer who was his party's nominee in the canceled special election, on November 3, 2026.
