Jamie Ager, a farmer and grandson of former U.S. representative Jamie Clarke, is the Democratic nominee for North Carolina's 11th congressional district, which includes Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson and several other counties.
He won the Democratic primary with 64.7% of the vote, ahead of physician Richard Hudspeth with 15.9% and field services technician Zelda Briarwood with 13.0%.
