Peter Soulé, an investor listed on the ballot results as Peter Sundin Soulé, is the Republican candidate in the 2026 election for California's 16th congressional district. The incumbent is Democrat Sam Liccardo, who was elected in 2024 with 58.2% of the vote.
In the top-two primary, Soulé placed second with 19,841 votes, or 10.76%, behind Liccardo's 75.61%. He finished ahead of fellow Republican Kevin Johnson, a law student who took 10.20%, and of attorney Jotham Stein, who had no party preference.
Soulé faces Liccardo in the general election on November 3, 2026.
