Rachel Peace, a business owner, is the Democratic nominee for New Jersey's 4th congressional district, which covers the upper Jersey Shore in Monmouth and Ocean counties, including Lakewood Township and Toms River.
The seat is held by Republican Chris Smith, who was re-elected with 67.4% of the vote in 2024. Peace placed first at the Monmouth County Democratic convention with 34.5% and went on to win the Democratic primary with 72.8% of the vote, defeating IT professional John Blake.
In the general election on November 3, 2026, she faces Smith, who was unopposed for the Republican nomination.
