Hillary Herzig, a civil servant, is the Republican nominee in the 2026 election for New Jersey's 6th congressional district, a seat that takes in towns along the Raritan Bay, including Edison and Woodbridge, and stretches into coastal Monmouth County.
Herzig was unopposed in the Republican primary and received 13,055 votes. The general-election opponent is Democrat Frank Pallone, the incumbent U.S. representative, who was re-elected with 56.1% of the vote in 2024 and won the 2026 Democratic primary with 65.7% against John Hsu and Katie Bansil.
