Michael McGuire, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, is the Republican nominee for New Jersey's 3rd congressional district, which centers on Burlington County and parts of Mercer and Monmouth counties. The seat is held by Democrat Herb Conaway, who was elected with 53.2% of the vote in 2024.
Ahead of the primary, McGuire won the Mercer County Republican convention with 78.4%, while Jason Cullen carried the Burlington County convention.
McGuire then won the Republican primary with 57.9% of the vote, defeating sales professional Jason Cullen with 24.4% and contractor Justin Barbera with 17.7%. In the general election on November 3, 2026, he faces Conaway and Green Party candidate Steven Welzer.
