Kevin Burge, an IT security specialist, is the Democratic nominee in the 2026 election for Texas's 24th congressional district, which redistricting redrew around Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and the suburbs north of Dallas and Fort Worth.
The new lines placed two incumbents in the district, Republican Beth Van Duyne and Democrat Julie Johnson, and Johnson has since decided to seek re-election in the redrawn 33rd district.
In the Democratic primary Burge led a three-candidate field with 48.0% of the vote, ahead of entrepreneurs TJ Ware and Jon Buchwald. He then defeated Ware in the runoff with 78.1% of the vote.
In the November 3, 2026, general election Burge faces Van Duyne, who was unopposed for the Republican nomination.
