Tony Sabio, a former CIA and Secret Service officer, is the Republican nominee for Virginia's 8th congressional district, which includes Alexandria, Falls Church, Arlington and parts of eastern Fairfax County.
He became the nominee after two other Republican candidates, educator Heerak Christian Kim and tour guide Luke Nathan Phillips, withdrew. The seat is held by Democrat Don Beyer, who was re-elected with 71.5% of the vote in 2024 and won the 2026 Democratic primary with 67.1%.
In the general election on November 3, 2026, Sabio faces Beyer, Libertarian activist Shelly Arnoldi and independent consultant Tim Sharman.
