2026 race
Martin Zamora is the Republican nominee in the 2026 election for New Mexico's 3rd congressional district, which covers the northern and eastern parts of the state, including Santa Fe, Roswell, Farmington and his home city of Clovis, as well as parts of the Navajo Nation.
He was unopposed in the Republican primary and received 32,901 votes. The seat is held by Democrat Teresa Leger Fernández, who was re-elected with 56.3% of the vote in 2024 and is the Democratic nominee again this year.
A victory for Zamora would make him the first Republican to represent the district since the late 1990s. The two candidates meet in the general election on November 3, 2026.
